Irish Cottage to Rent - Headford, Co. Galway

Cottage Accommodation

The front half-door opens into the bright spacious living room which features a solid fuel stove surrounded by easy chairs and sofa. The stove will be set ready to light when you arrive and a starter supply of fuel will be left to create a cosy blaze on chilly evenings. The dining table is situated in front of the window looking out over the garden to the rear of the cottage. A Radio/CD/Audio Cassette player is supplied.

Overlooking the living room is a mezzanine TV lounge which has spectacular views over the surrounding countryside as far as the Norman Castle ruins at Kinlough and Moyne. The cottage has cable tv channels with news reports in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian, and also a DVD player connected.

The kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave oven, fridge, electric oven, grill and hob.

Bedroom 1 - a double bedroom on the ground floor, this bright room has a window on the gable as well as on the front of the cottage.

Bedroom 2 - a twin room on the first floor, even though this cosy room is situated under the eaves it has a good deal of full head height. It is light by a velux window and is access by a steep staircase.

Bedroom 3 - a small double on the ground floor, this room looks out on to the front of the cottage and has a wash-hand basin with hot & cold taps.

All bedrooms have wardrobes, drawer units, bedside lights and central heating radiators. The large bathroom has a full bath with an electric shower. Water is heated by an electric immersion water heater or the oil fired central heating. A high-chair and folding cot is also supplied.

The gardens: the cottage is encompassed by large, enclosed, well-kept gardens with flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. Seating, picnic table and bar-b-que are supplied. There are parking spaces for several cars within the garden.

Cuinne

‘Cuinne’ is an 18th century traditional Irish cottage which has been beautifully refurbished to encompass the comforts of modern living yet retains the charm of some original features such as the half door, stone hearth and low doorways. Set in mature, enclosed gardens the cottage is located in a small farming hamlet 3kms from the town of Headford and 23kms from the medieval city of Galway.
